Story Time with Miss Patti

I (Lil Hoff) went to the library the other day with this lady. I wasn't really sure what we were doing but I had been to the library before and had fun so I was sure I would again. But then again, who doesn't have fun pulling books off the shelf and running from momma squealing and pulling decorations off the wall

But this time I was here for something else, I saw my cousins and that was a first, and I got to sit in a little chair and that was a first, and there was this lady standing in front reading a book that was a first too!

I am at story time!!!

I got to play with my cousins for a while and watch other kids.

Then I got to run around.

and then I got to make a craft.

"Come on mom, try to act cool! Why must you always take pictures of me? Quit embarrassing me in front of my new friends"

"Oh Son if you only knew"

Where has the time went

Two post in one day?  I must be outdoing myself. ha!

When Lil Hoff was a pudgy little thing and wouldn't roll over I for sure thought we was doomed and he would never learn how to crawl, walk, talk, tie his shoes and he would forever and ever have to live with us because he didn't get enough tummy time to developed into a normal child. I look back now and laugh. Ha, I tell you ha! What happened to those days, because now I have this.....

Walking to the babysitters without me!

Walking to the door without me!

Bye mom! See you later! I don't need you!

If you miss me I will be sitting in the corner crying wondering whatever happened to my pudgy boy who's whole dependence was on me.

Watch-it Wednesday

OK...I know it's Thursday but I happened to capture yet another good time between a boy and his puppy. I love watching how Lil Hoff and Roscoe are bonding, sure it's over food but everyone has their weakness and if my kid has to have to food to be played with then this momma will always keep the pantry well stocked :)

Oh Geez

Have you ever came up with a brilliant idea to outsmart your husband and thought "this will show him?" You haven't? Hmmm..well let me tell you what I did and then you can say "yes I have done that" and then I promise I won't look down on you.

It all started on the 29th of December when Lil Hoff decided that playing underneath our live Christmas Tree would be tons of fun and if he stood up and raised his little arms and waved them then all the needles came falling down like rain. So I quickly took the ornaments off and shipped it out side on our front porch. Which that part is not unusual, it usually is up to me to take the tree down and take it outside and then Farmboy will haul the tree away.

Fast forward to January 17th and the tree is still sitting on my front porch (this is where my brilliant idea comes in). I came home and got mad (after of course many, many, many, many friendly reminders of that tree) but instead of letting it build up and fury coming out when he walked through the door, I took the less settle approach. I pulled the the tree closer to where he parks and plugged it back in with our Christmas lights (which are still on the house). In MY mind I thought he would come home and go "Wow, I can't believe I have let that tree sit there that long, the fact that my wife has moved it closer so I would see it must mean she wants me to haul it away". But no, MY husband comes in and says "I love that you plugged the tree in, it made me smile when I pulled up" Oh geez. So as of January 20th the tree still sits on our front porch with Christmas lights displaying proudly. So if you are in my neck of the woods and see a Charlie Brown Tree dying a slow death with brilliant lights twinkling and Christmas lights still glistening on the house please don't think of us as rednecks as much as a dysfunctional husband and wife. Many Thanks
