Hello All! Dropping in for a quick update on the happening of Lil Hoff.......
What Lil Hoff is Up to.....
1. Lil Hoff is about 15.7 inches long now
2. Lil Hoff weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). Although I feel like I could be carrying a whole cabbage patch kid in there right now!
3. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus.
4. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
What I am up to....
1. Lil Hoff has been so active lately. He is moving constantly.
2. We are still struggling with naming Lil Hoff..who knew that a name could be so difficult. So don't be surprised if he comes out and we are still calling him Lil Hoff.
3. Sleep is hit and miss lately. Some nights I sleep so hard, that Farmboy wakes me up to tell me to quit snoring, other nights, I toss and turn trying to get comfortable just to get uncomfortable within 2 minutes.
4. I am starting to make some meals and freeze them. I feel like a little Martha Stewart has spawned out of me.
5. I started on Lil Hoff's baby book this week. That is exciting!! As much as I can fill out now I am trying to. It's neat to remember back to what it was like when we first found out and how we celebrated and when we started telling everyone. It seems like a lifetime ago now.
This week was a special week in my other man's life.....
No, not that one..Farmboy's!
It was his birthday...he turned the big 2-8. Really that's not big, but he is younger than me (by a few months) so he likes to rub it in that on every birthday, he will always be younger.
We had a family lunch at his parent's house. My mother-in-law made a wonderful meal and he got spoiled with a gift card to Sears and a really nice pull-over.
This little one got spoiled too...by all the attention he gets at Grandma's house.
The next night I made him a birthday dinner of baked ziti, green beans, garlic bread, caesar salad, and a four layer dessert. Afterwards he got to open up his gift from me.
I got him a neon sign to hang in his shop. He loved it! I had to hold it up in the window so he could go outside and see how it looked.
So overall not a very busy week, but a nice one.
