Within a couple of hours after the beautiful falling of snow, this is what it look like. Sad isn't it?
But as they say all good things must come to an end. So as the snow cleared away and as Adam woke up from his mid morning nap, it was decided that we needed to do something.
So we packed a cooler up and this part becomes a little fuzzy on me as for what "we" actually decided. I think we had a lack of communication (but more to come on that later). And headed to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Adam had the afternoon planned out for us and it sounded wonderful. A joy ride to the park and then a little hike around Bear Lake and to a waterfall. Sounds wonderful right??? The sights were amazing. It truly blesses me so much when I look at what God has created for us. How he spoils us!
Here is a picture of Adam at Bear Lake. It was a spectacular spot to take some pictures and we had a great time walking around the lake and meeting people. At this point it started to snow again and made the sites even more breathtaking (literally at some points). At least we had our heavy coats and we could stay warm. The temperature was in the 30's.

Here I am again with Aspens in the background. They were starting to change colors. They broke up the landscaping of the mountains from all the Pine Trees and added splash of color.

Here is a picture of Adam at Bear Lake. It was a spectacular spot to take some pictures and we had a great time walking around the lake and meeting people. We asked a friendly gentleman to take this picture of us. I was in awe of all the photographers taking pictures and sometimes down right jealous. Some of the scopes I saw I think I could have seen the waterfall from the bottom of the mountain. 
This is another friendly guy that I met. We will call him Chip at this time. He was so friendly and loved begging people for food. 
"Are you sure lady that you don't have any food?" 
Even Chip loved the pink purse, but not for long when he realized that no food was in there. 
Here we are at Alberta Falls. The waterfall that Adam wanted us to leisurely hike to. At this point I am lucky to be alive let alone smiling. We have hiked, uphill most of the way mind you, about 3 miles at this point. 
But it was worth it! I'm not sure I am rearing to go again tomorrow, but I am glad Adam kept pushing me and with my determination not to let Adam see me fail, made it to the top. Isn't it beautiful.

Here is the view from the waterfall. Once again, you just stand there in awe. 
OK, so here is a picture from the beginning of the hike and I am all smiles as I am showing off the map of Bear Lake and that magnificent pink purse. Both at this point I am excited about. The purse is a new purchase and the hike has just begun. I have gotten SEVERAL compliments on how cute the purse is! Now here is the lack of communication. I briefly believe I heard my husband say hike when we left the house. I didn't think much of it, and then when he suggested that we ride the shuttle, once again didn't think much of the purse. Now as we are unloading the durango to get onto the shuttle, I turn to my sweet, sweet, husband and say "I really don't want to take my purse, do you think it will be ok here (meaning leave it in the durango)?" and in return he says to me (more in the expression I got from him) "Are you kidding me, you have all our money, and if you leave it here then someone could steal it" Which I totally understand, but then when I questioned him what I do with it. He says that he didn't know why I brought it along to begin with! So along with the 3 mile hike up the side of the mountain, I am toting my purse. We pass all these professional hikers with their backpacks with water coming from them, and hiking sticks, and all other very professional looking attire and I am trudging up the hill with my pink purse. Oh well, lessons learned. On to more pictures. 
After we got back into town we ate at Poppy's pizza and grill. It was wonderful. I had a personal pan pizza and Adam had a pork tenderloin sandwich. We then did a little bit of shopping and came home. We were both a little chilled so Adam built a fire. Here he is reading the directions on how to use the fireplace and build a fire properly left by the owners of the property. I am sure you can read his expression of what he thinks of this.
Well everyone, it has been a long day and me and my purse need a good night sleep. Until tomorrow......
